So many of the folks that request our service are living at the margins and excluded from food assistance programs. 22% identify as having a physical disability that makes going to local food pantries challenging. An overwhelming percentage are on fixed and low income making the rising cost of groceries unaffordable.
- We now provide over 800 meals to the Portland metro area communities in need, each week
- Through an increased capacity in onboarding volunteers which led to increased food rescue, we manage to keep our food purchase and food packaging costs to an average cost $1,000 a week
- Your $5,000 donation helps cover the cost of ingredients and food packaging supplies, sponsoring approximately five weeks of MCK meal programs; close to 4,000 nutrient-dense fully cooked meals. Meals are provided via home-delivery, in-person, and via our network of community partners.”

We can’t thank you enough for your generous donation to the Assistance League
of the Columbia Pacific. Operation School Bell is our
signature program that provides new clothing and hygiene items to students in need
in our community. We dress kids in the fall and spring and serve emergency needs as
they arise. Last year we were able to dress over 900 students in new clothing.
ALCP has 6 programs
that help to transform lives and strengthen our communities. Your donation
puts big smiles on the faces of the school children we serve and gives a boost to their self esteem.
Your support is much appreciated!
Thank you!

Oregon Summer Star
March 7th, 2025
Oregon Summer Star is preparing to serve 75 youth from Oregon military families in 2025. Since 2006, our staff have done a lot to help youth feel a positive sense of belonging to their families, both during and after experiencing a military deployment. At Oregon Summer Star we not only appreciate the service of Oregon Veterans, but also celebrate the service of spouses and children who remind us all that, Kids Serve Too!
As a growing organization, we want to thank you for your financial support and the moral endorsement you provide by being involved with our work. Your sponsorship provides funding for 15 scholarships so that Oregon youth are able to attend camp at no cost this summer- what a great way to get involved!

DEAR Day Program
Feb 11th, 2025
“Gordon Teifel is an OSU graduate of ’67 and ’74 who is actively involved in
the DEAR day program and advocates for affordable housing with adults experiencing
intellectual and developmental disabilities. Another OSU colleague suggested asking the SOAR4
Foundation for support. Your grant significantly reduced the DEAR financial shortfall
last month. Our medically fragile customers thrive on the extra attention we provide
above the support for activities of daily living. The SOAR4 grant is a welcome blessing.”

Marie Mills Center
Jan 10th, 2025
We really appreciate your support for the donation Marie Mills Foundation received
from the Pat Casey Foundation.
We are going to be using those funds to purchase
a SUV or Mini Van to help clients in one of our group homes access the community.
It will also be used to travel to appointments they might have in the city. As you know traveling over the mountain
can be interesting, especially in the winter months. We see this as a very useful safety measure.
We will continue to look for funds from other sources to assist in this purchase.
I am looking forward to you visiting Marie Mills Center when you are in the area sometime.
Again, thank you and the Foundation for this support, as
a non-profit organization it helps to have great community partners.

Thanks to your generosity and thoughtfulness you have enabled us to
impact thousands of individuals and families each year. You are helping to change the landscape of inclusion
, building stronger families, stronger schools, and a stronger community.
For that, I am most grateful!”

a free hot meal to anyone in need each Sunday. It is because of organizations and individuals
like yourself we are able to fulfill our mission with no paid staff and no formal funding
in place. We serve upwards of 16,000 people annually as well as create a special
Christmas dinner at the Portland Art Museum for the past 10 years.
This year’s anticipated guest count looks like around 1100 where over 300 volunteers
will assist in the one-day project. Thank you once again for
assisting our cause and your vision of assisting hunger related organization’s like ours,
it means a lot!

We are grateful for your donation. As we move into 2025,
we are ready to serve more single parents undergoing cancer treatment.
This donation will help us do just that, providing housing, meals,
and home cleanings. Thank you for thinking of us and choosing to give.

making a recent donation to Rising Star. Your timing is comparableto a baseball
team leading 2-1 in the bottom of the 9th, one out, and then turning a picture perfect double play!
We are now able to help two more applicants that had recently applied!
One who wants to be a Telephone lineman and another
who wants to go to OSU. Really, really appreciate your generosity, and your belief
helping small-town Oregon kids realize their dreams.

Your generosity supports the great work of the Sisters in the remote
Tanzania town of Sumbawanga; including the orphanage, school for girls, medical clinics, etc.
I will personally be travelling to Tanzania in Fall 2025 to get another firsthand view of their work.
The good news is that our board passes on 100% of all donations to the
sisters and receive accounting for every dime.
May you and your team have a blessed Christmas!

SOAR4 supports Oregon athletes
October 17, 2024
I want to personally thank the SOAR4 Foundation for your annual support of the Willamette Valley Fellowship of Christian Athletes. None of this is possible without individuals like you who support our mission from Salem to Eugene and out to the Oregon Coast. We now have over 40 weekly FCA Huddles in middle school, high school, community colleges, and universities. As of the end of January, we averaged almost 500 students weekly attending our meetings This has doubled in the last year and a half. As we continue to grow in the valley, our desire is to transform campuses through coaches and athletes into environments that know God’s truth and practice Christian values. You all are an integral part of this through your generosity.
